Herbert Lester Sceirine passed away on Tuesday morning, March 24, 2015 at the South Lyon Medical Center in Yerington. He was 77.

He was born March 2, 1938 to Lester (Toby) Sceirine and Jayne (Fullenwider) Sceirine in Yerington, Nevada. He attended Barrett School and graduated from Yerington High School in 1956.

Herb was a hard-working man, a rancher, excavation contractor/businessman who never completely retired. Hunting and fishing were a big part of his life. He enjoyed traveling, but Yerington was always his home.

Herb is preceded in death by brother, Tom Sceirine and parents, Toby and Jayne Sceirine. He is survived by his children, Jeff Sceirine, Tobi Jayne Edwards, MariKay Preciado, Douglas Sceirine, and Ty Sceirine; eleven grandchildren; siblings Joe Sceirine, David Sceirine and Janice Shoemaker; numerous nieces and nephew, cousins and lifelong friends.

A private family Catholic Funeral Mass will be celebrated on April 6. All are invited to his Celebration of Life which will be celebrated at Guiessipe's (Dini's Lucky Club) on Saturday, April 11, from 8:00-10:30 am. This is a casual breakfast buffet for family and friends, an occasion to share memories and stories of Herb.
