Obituary
Iris Yvonne Higgins passed away early Tuesday morning, January 17, 2012 at the South Lyon Medical Center/Long Term Care in Yerington, Nevada. She was 75.
Iris was born in Shelton, Nebraska on February 18, 1936 the daughter of Harry and Lula (Swift) Jacobsen. She had married Oyd Higgins in Courtside, Arizona December 17, 1955.
She had been a 25 year resident of Wellington, Nevada moving from Hesperia, California. Iris enjoyed Team roping and showing the Quarter horses she raised. She also enjoyed photography.
Iris is survived by her husband, Oyd of Wellington; her children, Oyd H. Higgins II and his wife Esther, Cynthia Higgins and Celia M. Higgins. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Iris's graveside service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Smith, Nevada.
