Isidro "Papa Chilo" Ramirez Arellano

Isidro "Papa Chilo" Ramirez Arellano passed away at his home Sunday, February o1, 2026 surrounded by his family.  He was 70.

Isidro was born on May 15, 1955 the son of Secundino Ramirez and Todora Arellano in Zacatecas, Mexico.  He was a loving Father, Brother and Grandpa who enjoyed farming, taking care of his animals and spending time with his family.  He was often described as a workaholic, trying his best to give his kids the best life they could have.  Wherever he went, he was very well known and would often stay for hours talking to his friends and acquaintances.

He is survived by his wife, Irene, his three sons and five daughters - Hector, Enrique, Israel, Maribel, Rosario, Hilda, Lorena and Rocio.  Also his twenty grandchildren, who loved and adored him dearly.

He has left a hole of sadness in many hearts but will forever be remembered as "Papa Chilo".

A viewing will be held 6:00 pm Friday, February 6th at the family residence at 573 Pete Hendrichs Road Yerington.  His funeral Mass will be 2:00 pm Saturday, February 7th at Holy Family Catholic Church, 37 North West Street Yerington.  Burial will follow at the Valley View Cemetery, 1 Cemetery Road Yerington.   Family and friends are invited to sign his online guest book at www.FRFH.net.
