Jay Charles Ruic passed away at his home in Smith Valley on June 8, 2007. He was 67.
He was born in Chagrinfalls, Ohio on January 28, 1940 the son of Frederick and Cecilia (Hummel) Ruic. He had lived the past eleven years in Smith Valley. Before retirement his career evolved working in accounting as a financial planner and manufacturing controller in the computer and aerospace industry. He loved working with his hands and built his own solar house in Colorado Springs. His hobbies were participating in Mountain Man reeenactments and brewing his own beer. He will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his wife, Anita; his son, Michael and his wife Kelly and his grandchildren, Mike and Riley; his sister, Barbara and her husband Donald and many nieces and nephews.
Private family service were held and cremation was under the direction of Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home 25 Hwy 208 Yerington.
