John Edward Jordon passed away at his home in Smith Valley surrounded by his family on Monday morning, November 19, 2012. John was 77.

John was born in Brownsville, Pennsylvania on November 27, 1934 the son of John Edward Marten Jordon and Kate-Katherine (Zobec) Jordon. He married Jeannette Strayer in California on December 22, 1957.

John worked for Dover as an elevator adjuster repairman for many years.

John and Jeannette lived in Smith Valley for the past 12 years coming from California. John was a member of the NRA, United Methodist Church. He enjoyed guns, bingo, bowling, working with wood. He was a very loving, kind and very giving person who will be missed by many.

John is survived by his wife of over 54 years, Jeannette; his son, Phillip Jordon; his daughters, Kim Larson and Jeannette Convery; his sisters, Shirley Hogan and Sharon Granado; his seven grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

John's Memorial Service will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, November 24, 2012 at the Smith Valley United Methodist Church, 44 Rivers Road, Smith.
