Obituary
Joseph Warren Salz passed away early Thursday morning, December 11, 2008 at the South Lyon Medical Center in Yerington, Nevada. He was 86.
Joseph was born in San Francisco, California on August 17, 1922 the son of Joseph and Esther (Snoreen) Salz. He attended Santa Rosa Junior College, where he still holds a record while he was a member on the Track Relay Team. He was a veteran having served in the United States Navy. He married Ada Remmel in Healdsburg, California on August 24, 1947. Joseph worked as a Pilot for TWA. He lived in Yerington for the past 32 years. While in Yerington he was active in the Civil Air Patrol and was also a Ditch Master.
He is survived by his sons, Joseph and his wife, Peggy and John Salz; and a granddaughter, Jodie Salz. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife of 60 years, Ada who passed away in 2007.
A private family service has been held. Arrangements and cremation was under the direction of Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home, Yerington (775) 463-2911.
