Joyce C. Hulse passed away on Saturday evening, April 30, 2016 at the Mason Valley Residence in Yerington. She was 79.

Joyce was born in Wichita, Kansas on June 18, 1936, the daughter of Keith (Hoffman) and Jessie (Patterson) Hoffman.


Joyce was a devoted wife and loving mother. She married Lauren Hulse July 2, 1955 at the age of 19. She was married to Lauren for 57 years before his passing in 2012. They moved from California to Yerington, Nevada in 2002.


Joyce is survived by her Son, Stephen Jack Hulse of Scotts Valley, CA; Daughter, Stephanie Jill Phifer of Placerville, CA; Sister, Julie Hoffman of Topeka Kansas; Brother, Richard Hoffman of Branson, MO.
Her pride and joy were her two grandchildren; Lauren Nicole Hulse (Granddaughter), & Evan Shea Phifer (Grandson). Joyce had been residing at Mason Valley Residence in Yerington where she was loved by all.


She spent much of her teenage years in Louisiana, New Orleans. Lake Pontchartrain was a favorite spot to hang out and party with all her friends. She lived and worked In New York as a Bank Teller. She auditioned for the New York City Rockettes, a precision dance company. She had a heart of Gold and a Smile that could brighten even the darkest day. Those who knew Joyce will remember her spunky personality. She will be forever Loved and Missed by her family.
