Karen Giovacchini passed away at her residence in Sparks, Nevada on Wednesday, June 5, 2019.  She was 72.

Karen was born in Akron, Ohio on January 2, 1947, the daughter of Ruth and Russell Johnson. Karen had lived in Sparks since 2018. Prior to that time, she lived in Fernley with her husband Don Giovacchini, until his passing in 2017.

She is survived by her children; Jake McClain, Kris Smyers, Jimmy Giovacchini and Dawn Michelle Giovacchini Arny; her sister, Dixie Zimmerman; 7 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In keeping with her wishes there will be no formal memorial service.  A celebration of life will be held at 4 pm Saturday, June 29, 2019 at CG's Bar, 2822 Hwy 208 Wellington, Nevada.
