Ken Douglas Halterman died Thursday evening, November 26, 2009 at Renown Medical Center in Reno from a Heart Attack at the age of 54.

He was born in Yerington, Nevada on January 25, 1955 the son of Frank and Donna (Geiger) Halterman. He graduated from Yerington High School in 1974. He spent most of his life in Yerington working in local grocery stores and mining. He lived for sometime in Wyoming and Utah. He enjoyed the great outdoors, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his Mother, Donna Halterman; his brother Duff and his wife Judy Halterman; his sisters, Kaylyn and her husband Matt Galvin and Lisa and her husband Brock Tibbals; his nephews, Josh, Jesse, Jake Halterman, Matthew Galvin, Blaine Tibbals, Nieces, Janelle, Penny and Tashina Galvin, Adista (Dave) and Daylene (Craig) Great Nieces and Nephews, Jesslyna, Graycee, baby Payslee and Dylan Tibbals and Logan Galvin; many numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his Father and niece, Mattilynne Galvin.

Doug's Memorial service will be held 11:00 am Thursday, December 3rd at the Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home 25 Hwy 208 Yerington. A reception will follow the service at his brother Duff's home 120 Idaho Street Yerington.

Honorary pallbearers will be Logan Galvin, Matthew Galvin, Jake Halterman, Jess Halterman, Josh Halterman, Blaine Tibbals and Dylan Tibbals.
