Kenneth 'Ken" R. Bean passed away on Tuesday evening, December 27, 2016 at South Lyon Medical Center. He was 89.

Ken was born in Emmett, Idaho on December 7, 1927 the son of Rolland and Pearl (Kuckku) Bean. He married Ethel Rose Pettinger June 15, 1948 in Emmett, Idaho.

Ken worked as a Welder for many years. He enjoyed hunting in his younger days and loved to travel and ride his motorcycles. Ken was a member of the Wandering Wheels Motorcycle Club and a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Ethel; his son, Daniel (Carol) Bean of Reno; his daughters, Janie (William) Bauer of Elko and Elena (David) Johnson of Keller, Texas; his brother, Edward of Emmett, Idaho; his grandchildren, Erica Bauer, Julia (Luke) Nesser, Bronte' Strong, Jeff (Summer) Bean and Steve (Erynn) Bean; his great grandkids, Zoe Nesser and Dawson Bean.

Ken's Funeral Mass was held 11:00 am Thursday, January 5, 2017 at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Yerington. Prior to the Mass at 10:30 a Rosary will be recited. Interment will be in the family plot of Valley View Cemetery.
