Lauren L. Hulse passed away on Saturday morning, September 8, 2012 at the South Lyon Medical Center in Yerington, Nevada. He was 81.
Lauren was born in Duncan, Oklahoma on August 31, 1931 the son of Lawt and Edna (Zorger) Hulse.
Lauren had served in the United States Coast Guard from 1951 to 1954. He received the National Defense Service Medal along with a Good Conduct Medal.
Lauren had lived the past 12 years in Yerington coming from California. Before retirement Lauren had worked as a Chemist for IBM for many years. He was known as the inventor of 'Toner'. He enjoyed sailing very much and also loved playing the piano which he played beautifully. He also loved spending time with "Buckwheat" his beloved Doberman.
Lauren is survived by his wife, Joyce Hulse; his daughter, Stephanie Jill Phifer and her husband Ted; his son, Stephen Jack Hulse; his grandson, Evan Shea Phifer; his granddaughter, Lauren Nicole Hulse; his brother, Kent Hulse; his brother-in-law, Richard Hoffman; and his sister-in-law, Julie Hoffman; and of course his beloved doberman, Buckwheat.
The family will hold a memorial service at a later date in California.
