Obituary

Laurence 'Larry' B. Croker passed away on Saturday evening, March 15, 2014 at the Mason Valley Residence in Yeington, Nevada.  He was 98.

Larry was born November 14, 1915 in Winfield, Kansas the son of Chauncey and Thelma (Schwantes) Croker.

He was a World War II veteran having served in the U.S. Navy.  He married Ruth Pfeiler in Oxnard, California on November 27, 1942.

He has lived in Yerington for the past 45 years coming from Oxnard, California.  Larry enjoyed fishing, was a member of the VFW and American Legion and was also a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth of Yerington; his daughters, Marilyn (Gary) Barker of Summerville, South Carolina and Lorraine Riechers of Belmont, Wisconsin; his grandchildren, Becky Riechers, Andy (Mindy) Riechers, Jeff (Heidi) Riechers, Lisa (Dan Mathews) Fitzsimons, Chris (Tom Belke) Riechers, Nicole (Parker Wyeth) Thomas, and Tara Thomas; his great grandchildren, Dallas & Faith Hoffman, Logan, Cody, Brevin Riechers, Zander, Xavier, Lilianna Riechers, Bryce & Simone Fitzsimons, Grey Parochniak and Mason Mojica; his great great grandchild, Asher Lockard Hoffman.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Herb and Ronnie and his granddaughter, Missy Thomas-Mojica.

A Rosary will be recited for Larry 6:00 pm Thursday, March 20, 2014 at the Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home, 25 Hwy 208 Yerington.  Funral Mass will be 11:00 am Friday, March 21st at the Holy Family Catholic Church.  A reception will follow the service at the Catholic Center.
