Obituary
Lawanda Loretta Wylie passed away early Wednesday morning, June 27, 2012, at the Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, Nevada. She was 77.
Lawanda was born on March 1, 1935 in Piggott, Arkansas the daughter of William Jesse and Goldie Gertrude (Lewis) Maddox.
Lawanda married Troy Martin Wylie in Reno, Nevada on July 21, 1954.
They have lived in Wellington (TRE), Nevada since 1987 coming from California. Lawanda enjoyed gardening, quilting and sewing. She very much enjoyed collecting sewing machines.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 58 years, Troy of TRE; her daughter, Wilma Roberts of Santa Clarita, California; her son Billie Wylie of TRE; her brothers, Willie Maddox of Stockton, California, Harold Maddox of Willits, California and Jerry Maddox of Mariposa, California; her sister, Rosie Robertson of Albany, Oregon. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Charles Jesse Maddox
Lawanda's funeral service will be held 10:00 am Monday, July 2, 2012 at the Smith Valley Baptist Church, 888 Hudson Way Smith, Nevada. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Smith.
