Richard Lee Heath passed away on Tuesday morning, July 22, 2014 at the South Lyon Medical Center/Long Term Care in Yerington, Nevada. He was 77.

Lee was born in Mayfield, Utah on March 20, 1937 the son of Joseph and Marjorie (Christensen) Heath. He attended schools in Mayfield and Manti, Utah.

Lee worked a short time as a truck driver and then worked on numerous drill rigs and also worked as an air conditioning and heating technician in Utah, Missouri and Nevada. Back and head injuries made it impossible to continue his vigorous work on the drilling rigs and he turned to the HVAC business in Utah and Nevada. He has been a resident of Yerington for the past forty years. He enjoyed hunting as a young man and in Nevada one of his passions was collecting coins and tokens at the many Nevada Ghost towns.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara 'Bobbie' Heath; his three daughters, Kerry, Bonnie Jo and Brenda; his two step-sons, Rick and Jay Drake; by his siblings, Raedell Hardman, Steven Heath, George Christiansen and Lenna Brown; his step-niece, Carolyn Robinett and his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Doris and John white. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Paul Heath.

His funeral service will be held 10:00 am Friday, July 25th at the Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home, 25 Hwy 208 Yerington with burial at the Valley View Cemetery.
