Lela (Johnny) Juanita Eye passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at her home in Weed Heights, NV.  She was 91.

She was born on November 4, 1927 in Junior, West Virginia to Samuel and Emma Wamsley.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Emma Wamsley, her husband Charles Wilmoth Eye and her son Gary Lee Eye.  She is survived by her son Gregory (Sandra) Eye, her granddaughter, Jennifer (Benjamin) Seay and her dear friend and companion of 56 years, Betty Wolford.  Johnny worked as a professional driver of various types of vehicles, and in various capacities.  She also worked as a driver at Edwards Air Force Base where she was the driver for many dignitaries and top-ranking officers who awarded her with numerous commendation letters for her service.  She and Betty worked and lived in Ogden, Utah, Lancaster, California and Yuma, Arizona before finally settling in Nevada.  In 2001 they moved to Weed Heights.  Johnny was a very caring person and generous with her smile and willingness to help others.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 8 at the Community United Methodist Church, 221 North Main Street Yerington.  Family and friends are invited to sign her online guest book at www.FRFH.net
