Lillian Pearl Weber passed away on Thursday afternoon, August 12, 2010 at the South Lyon Medical Center in Yerington. She was 95.

Lillian passed away peacefully at South Lyons Medical Center on August 12, 2010, surrounded by friends from Faith Lutheran Church. Her widow and loving husband, Mark C. Weber, Sr. joined her in eternity three days following her passing, on August 15, 2010. Lillian was born on February 8th, 1915 and Mark was born on October 8th, 1913, in Hamilton, Ohio, where they met on a "blind date" and later eloped to Indiana and married December 21, 1935. Their marriage of 74 years was a testimony to their faith and enduring love for one another. They leave behind three children, daughter Melanie Weber McDonald (husband, Frank) and twins, Mark C. Weber, Jr. and Marcia Weber Olsen, (husband, Clifford).

Lillian, the daughter of Bertus Garfield and Lily Belle Havens (nee Tolles), was the fifth of seven children: Brothers, Richard, Jacob and Fritz Newman, Bertus G. Havens, Jr. and sisters, Echo Newman Bailey and Frances Havens McGuffee, who all preceded Lillian in death. Mark, born to Harry and Mary Miller, was the brother of Raymond Weber and Dorothy Weber Little of Hamilton, Ohio.

Lillian graduated from Trenton High School in 1932 and Butler County Business College in 1934. Mark completed 10th grade and joined the Civilian Conservation Corps to support his family during the Great Depression. Following World War II, Mark and Lillian joined her parents and extended family in Oahu, Hawaii, where they raised their children for ten years before relocating to Campbell, California in 1956.

Lillian was employed in civil service at Pearl Harbor and Moffett Field Naval Air Stations, where she was a champion stenographer and typist. She enjoyed her years of retirement as the family cook and seamstress creating clothing for the family, including jockey silks for her daughter Melanie's horse-racing business. Mark began as a print setter in Cincinnati, Ohio, and later became the first appointed appliance repairman for Sears Roebuck in the Hawaiian Islands before relocating to San Jose, California where he retired 27 years later. He was among the first to usher in service for the era of television. In his retirement, Mark enjoyed giving back to his community as an instructor for the electronics repair technological program at the Adult school program on the former campus of Campbell High School. He spent many happy years working as a groom and handyman for his daughter's stables.

Before joining Faith Lutheran in Yerington, Nevada, Mark and Lillian were members of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Kaneohe, HI; Immanuel Lutheran Church, San Jose, CA and the chapel services at Turf Paradise, Phoenix, AZ. Besides their children, Lillian leaves behind five grandchildren, Mark Weber III, Christopher and Emily Olsen, Lance and Doug McDonald and two great grandsons, Mark and Nikki Weber.

Lillian's funeral service along with her husband's, Mark, will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, August 17th at the Faith Lutheran Church at the corner of West and Van Ness street in Yerington. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery.
