Lita Moriconi Brown, a life long beloved well known resident of Yerington Nevada passed away Monday, August 5th at Renown hospital in Reno Nevada. surrounded by her family, she was 84.

She was born January 19, 1935 as the middle child of Teresa and Ralph Moriconi. She attended schools in Yerington, graduated from Armstrong college in Berkeley, CA. and was employed in the personnel office of Anaconda Mining company in Weed Heights where she met the love of her life, Kenneth L. Brown. She was also the secretary for Ron Banta a attorney in Yerington until she retired.

She married Kenneth L. Brown on January 22, 1956, and they enjoyed 56 wonderful years together. Lita's life revolved around her family, career, church, and friends. She was an excellent Italian cook, fluent in Italian and loved to bowl with her many friends. She did a lot of reading and took a great interest in local, state and national politics. She was a devout member of the Holy Family Catholic Church, Saint Anne's Society and the Italian Catholic Federation.

Lita is survived by her two sons, Darryl (Susie), Kevin (Kristen) all of Yerington, NV . Her sister Lora Jean Rapini (Bob, deceased) of Danville, CA. her brother Ralph Moriconi (Anthony Alonzo) of Modesto, CA. Her grandchildren, Meghan Brown of Reno, NV. Melissa Spangle of Yerington, NV. Jennifer Tackitt (Scott) of Reno, NV, (mother Marilyn Brown)Jessica (Daniel) Burton of Bishop, CA. and Travis Dean of Bishop, CA. Her two great granddaughters Dallas Rose and Brooke Elizabeth Burton of Bishop, CA.
Nieces Michelle Rapini Abraham (Randy) and Joleen Rapini Lafayette (Greg), her great nephews Collin and Connor Lafayette and great niece Corrine Lafayette of Danville, CA.

A Rosary will be recited at Holy Family Catholic Church, 103 N. West Street, Yerington, Nevada, 6:00 pm Friday, August 16th.  Her Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 am Saturday, August 17th at the Holy Family Catholic Church with reception to follow at the Catholic Center.  In Lieu of flowers please send donations to St. Anne's Society or to the Holy Family Catholic Church.
