Lorene Tingle Compston, beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother was born on June 25, 1927 to Earl and Lena Scaggs in Tryon, OK. She passed away peacefully on October 21, 2020 at the age of 93.

Lorene moved to Yerington, NV in 1955 with her late husband Bill Tingle. They had two children together, Bill Jr. and Larry Tingle. Bill Sr. passed away in April of 1966. Lorene married Elwood Compston in April of 1970. Elwood passed away in August of 1985.

Lorene was voted woman of the year twice in Yerington and was an active member of the community. She enjoyed spending time in her garden, taking walks, looking for rocks, spending time with her family and cooking.

She is survived by her son Bill, grandchildren; Casey, Stacey, Lance, Mandy and Buck, and numerous great grandchildren.  Lorene is proceded in death by her parents; Earl and Lena, two brothers; Kenneth and Freddie, husband Bill Tingle, husband Elwood Compston, granddaughter Andrea Bertrand, and son Larry Tingle.
