Lupe Lopez was born on April 10, 1928 in El Camiche, Michoacán, Mexico the son of Manuel and Augustina (Mendoza) Lopez. He was one of 19 children. He lived his younger life in Mexico. In 1974 he decided to come to the United States to find work leaving his wife and children. He saved up enough money to bring his family to Nevada and on December 25, 1976 his family were finally reunited.
He worked for the Hunewill Ranch in Wellington, NV for almost 30 years as a ranch hand and loved being around animals and maintaining the yard and trees around the ranch. He taught his children and grandchildren how to milk cows by hand. He was not an educated man but life taught him many lessons that he passed on to his children. He retired in 2003.
After a serious stroke his family moved him and his wife to Yerington where it was easier for his children to care for him. On November 17, 2015 he left to be with the lord.
