Marie Ethel Burchette passed away on Tuesday evening, October 11, 2011 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was 88.

Marie was born in Sweetwater, Nevada on the Fredericks Ranch on May 12, 1923 the daughter of Henry and Maude (Summers) Fredericks. She was the oldest of eight brothers and sisters; Chester, Lawrence (Duke), Richard, Henry and infant, Claron, Grace and Ida Belle.

Marie lived a wonderful, full life. She traveled the world and made many friends. Marie left a fingerprint on every person she met and most people recall her laugh and infectious smile. Marie was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She will be remembered and missed by all that knew her, but will remain alive in all our hearts.

Marie is survived by her sons, Jim Ed and Richard Lee; her grandsons, that she raised, Joshua and Joseph, and grandsons, Bert, William, Kristen, Richard, Jr., Daniel and Cora. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Claron (Burt) Hayes Burchette.

Marie's funeral service will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at the Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home 25 Hwy 208 Yerington. Burial will be held at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Smith. A reception will follow the burial at around 2:30 pm at the Yerington Paiute Tribal Gym.
