Obituary
Marie K. Menesini passed away on Tuesday evening, October 23, 2007 at the South Lyon Medical Center, Long Term Care in Yerington, Nevada. She was 94.
Marie was born in Yerington, Nevada on May 19, 1913 the daughter of Modesto and Margherita (Roselli) Dellamonica.
She was raised on the Dellamonica ranch and graduated from Yerington High School. She had married James Bowell in 1941, he died from injuries received in an auto accident in 1943. On September 14, 1946 she married Louie Menesini in Yerington. They had purchased the Giomi Ranch in 1953 and they farmed there until they retired and moved into town in the early 1970's. Marie loved the outdoors, she enjoyed the Sweetwater area and Wilson Canyon. She was an avid rockhound and bottle collector. Marie was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, was a member of St. Anne's Guild and the Holy Family Italian Catholic's.
Marie is survived by her two sons, Michael Menesini of Gardnerville, Nevada and James and his wife, Maderia Bowell of Mesa, Arizona; her brother, Luis Dellamonica of Hawthorne, Nevada; her grandchildren, Christan Doyle, Kelley Menesini, Jimmy Bowell, Chris Bowell, Maderia Billingsly, Lindsey Wharton, Amy Arraiz and Kadie Jackson; her great grandchildren, Jacob Doyle, Austin Giles, Jonathan Brown, Ean Brown, Kylie Jackson and Taylor Jackson; she is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Louie who passed away in 1981, and her sister, Modie Tucker.
A Rosary will be recited 7:00 pm Thursday, November 1, 2007 at the Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home 25 Hwy 208 Yerington. The Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 am Friday, November 2, 2007 at Holy Family Catholic Church 37 South West Street Yerington. Burial will be in the family plot of Valley View Cemetery in Yerington.
