Marilyn Dawn Rilling passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022 at the Renown Medical Center in Reno.  She was 89.

Marilyn was born in Santa Monica, California on March 10, 1932 the daughter of William and Elizabeth Trump.  She graduated from Venice High School in 1950 and worked at Prudential Insurance in Los Angeles, California.

On May 24, 1953 she married Robert Rilling.  They had three children Melody, John and Marcus.  In 1966 the family moved to Palmdale, California where she worked at the Los Angeles County School District for many years.  After her retirement she moved to Yerington in 1990.

Marilyn was very active in the Smith Valley Methodist Church, the American Legion and the Women's Club.  She loved going to the Senior Center and playing Bingo with her friends.  She loved spending time with her two granddaughters, Ashley and Jessica.

She is survived by her son, Marcus and his wife Carol Rilling; her granddaughters, Jessica (Kyle) House of Billings, Montana and Ashley Rilling of Modesto, California; her sister-in-law, Beverly Rilling of Los Angeles, California; her niece, Eileen Johnson and Nephew, Tom Kenyon.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her daughter, Melody and son John.  She will be missed by her family, friends and all those who knew her.

Marilyn's funeral service will be held 11:00 am Thursday, March 10th at the Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home, 25 Hwy 208 Yerington.  Her burial will follow the service at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Smith.  Family and friends are invited to sign her online guest book at www.FRFH.net
