Obituary
Marion Ruth Hanes passed away peacefully on Monday, August 26, 2013 in Yerington, Nevada. She was 86.
Marion was born in Morrill, Nebraska on August 11, 1927 the daughter of Ted R. and Edith Mae (Curry) Johnson, she was the third of six children.
Marion married Les Franklin Hanes on November 10, 1952.
Marion moved to Weed Heights in 1952 when Les was employed by the Anaconda Copper Mine. She moved to Mesa, Arizona in 1989 where she resided until two years ago, moving back to Yerington where she was a resident of Just Like Home.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and John Ivey; her son, Roger Dean Hanes; her five grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; her sister, Lurye Massie and brother, Jack T. Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Les and three siblings.
Marion service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, September 1, 2013 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 600 North Oregon Street Yerington. Burial will be next to her husband at Valley View Cemetery.
