God gave Marion Alice Thieme a better offer than life in this world when he hustled her off to heaven at 11:59p.m., on Thursday, March 15, 2007.

Marion, the youngest of three daughters, was born to Frederick and Florence Train on September 21, 1922 in Berkeley, California. She married Herbert Charles Thieme on October 12, 1940, and together they had two children, Michael Dean Thieme, born August 3, 1941, and Jeannine Marie Thieme, born April 17, 1949.

Thouh Herb and Marion divorced on March 7, 1972, Marion continued to play a leading role in her family, offering counsel without judgement and love without condition.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Maranne Thieme, who live in Smith, Nevada; and her daughter and son-in-law, Jeannie and John Sims, who live in Danville, Alabama. Grandchildren on the Thieme side include; Sean, Robin, Kelley, and Kenneth. Grandchildren on the Sims side include; Carrie, Suzanne, Jake, Sally, and Sarah. Great-grandchildren on the Thieme side include, Nicole, Hayley, and Kelsey. Great-grandchildren on the Sims side include; Kaleb, Lilly, Cana Beth, Kerra, and Maisie. Great-Great-grandchildren on the Thieme side include; Shane and Lucas. Marion was preceded in death by her sisters; Eleanor and Dorothy.

Marion loved birds and butterflies. Now she's flying with the best of them! Whe will be missed by her immediate and her extended families, as well as her old friends at Rotary Manor in San Rafael, California, and her new friends at South Lyon Medical Center's Long-Term Care in Yerington, Nevada.

No memorial service will be held. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home, Yerington (775) 463-2911
