Marjorie S. Stone passed away Sunday afternoon, January 21, 2007 at her daughter's home in Carson City. She was 83.
She was born in Richmond, Nevada September 21, 1923 the daughter of Dave and Mae (Hamilton) Stevens. She had lived in Carson City for the past 16 months coming from Yerington and Hawthorne. She had worked and retired from the Hawthorne Naval Ammunition Depot for over 30 years. She enjoyed shopping, word puzzles, watching daily soap operas, watching basketball and baseball games and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra and her husband Robert Sargent; her grandson, Rany and his wife Dena Sargent; her great granddaughter, Kali Sargent; her sister, Arlene Benjamin and her brother, Thomas Benjamin. she was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman Stone; her sisters, Violet Tom, Pauline Johnson, Sharon Stahl, Janet Hull and Ramona Emm; her brothers, Archie and Delmar Stevens.
A memorial servie will be held 11:00 am Saturday, January 27th at the Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home 25 Hwy 208 Yerington. Inurnment will be at the Valley View Cemetery in Yerington. A reception will be held following the servie at the Tribal Gym on Campbell Lane, Yerington.
