Obituary
Mary Jane Roberts died peacefully at her home in Yerington on August 23, 2007. She was 83.
Mary was born in Detroit, Michigan on September 23, 1923 the daughter of Robert and Edith (Cooper) Akers. She married George E. Roberts on October 10, 1946 in Valdosta, Georgia, She lived the past 9 years in Yerington, Nevada coming from Florida where she lived in Tierra Verde and Pine Key for over 60 years.
She is survived by her children, Sue Frishman of Yerington, Nevada and Bob Roberts of Tierra Verde, Florida; her brother, John Akers of Granda Hills, California; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister, Sue, a brother, Bob, and granddaughter, Carol Lyman and a niece,Jane.
In keeping with her wishes no memorial service will be held. Her cremains will be scattered in Florida at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home 25 Hwy 208 Yerington (775) 463-2911. Family and friends may sign the online guest book at www.FRFH.net.
Memorial donations may be made in her name to either the Alzheimers Foundation or American Cancer Society.
