Max Boyd Millar passed away at his home in Yerington, Nevada on Wednesday morning, June 12, 2013. He was 84.
Max was born in Ogden, Utah on August 5, 1928 the son of Walter and Ella (Davidson) Millar. Max was a veteran having served in the United States Army Air Corp at the close of World War II.
He has been a resident of Yerington for the past 45 years. He worked as an electrician for the Union Pacific Railroad, Swift Meat Packing Plant and Tibbals Construction. Max was a member of the Good Sam Club, Copper Hills Chapter, serving in various leadership positions.
Max was married to Lorraine Stoddard for over 43 years. She preceded him in death, he was also preceded in death by his parents, and infant son, Alan and a granddaughter, Wendy.
Max is survived by his loving companion of over 16 years, Nancy Arlitz; his children, Adele Millar Feeney and her husband Mike of Ogden, Utah and by Ronnold and his wife Lorna Millar of Ogden, Ut; his brother, Edward and his wife Ardene of Ogden, Ut; his sisters, Darlene and husband Richard of Ogden, UT, Joy and her husband Don Tibbals of Yerington, NV; his three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Max's Memorial service will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, June 20, 2013 at the Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home Chapel, 25 Hwy 208 Yerington, NV. A reception will follow the service at the home of Joy Tibbals, 56 Hwy 339 Yerington.
