Obituary
Maxine Conway Gullatt Hartley passed away at Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno on Thursday, July 7, 2016 following a tragic automobile accident on Highway 95 ten miles north of Schurz.
Maxine was born in Schurz, Nevada February 2, 1951.. She lived in Schurz as a child and later moved to Carson City where she went to elementary and high school.
Maxine worked for the State of Nevada, Department of Health and Human Services before moving to Schurz in 2000. She then worked for the Indian Health Service Contract Care until her retirement in 2013.
Maxine is survived by her husband, Bill Hartley; her children, Manual Gullatt, Jr. and Leticia (Tizzy) Gullatt of Schurz; her grandchildren, Keith Gullatt, Angelina, Daryl, and Saydee Whistler of Schurz, Joaquin, Tonikia and Channing Gullatt; great grandchildren, Aliyah and Kingsley Tomo Gullatt of Yerington.
Maxine's Memorial service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, July 16, 2016 at the Walker River Tribal Gym in Schurz. Inurnment will be held at Schurz Cemetery. A fellowship will follow the interment service at the tribal gym.
