Mitchell Dennis Ugalde was born in Cedarville, CA on May 9, 1962 to parents Joe and Lois Ugalde. He passed away on February 9, 2013 in Yerington, Nevada.
Mitchell lived most of his life in Gerlach, Nevada. He attended elementary school in Empire and graduated from Gerlach High School in 1980. One of his fondest memories of Gerlach was living at Granite Ranch with his parents, brother and sister.
In 1982 he married his high school sweetheart, Connie and they had one child, Michael.
Mitchell coached his son's pee wee basketball team for three years and then coached his brother-in-laws Gerlach High School basketball team for 4 years.
Mitchell worked for Washoe County Road Department for 9 years. He quit to run his parent's propane business in Gerlach. Two years later he returned to the road department where he became Road Supervisor for the last six years of his career.
Mitchell and his wife moved to Yerington so he could help his mother run the family business.
Mitchell loved to be with his family, he loved hunting, fishing and camping with his father and son.
Mitchell was a kind and gentle soul who was always concerned about his family and friends. He was a loving and caring son, husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother, son-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend. He will always be remembered for his quick witty humor.
Mitchell is preceded in death by his father Joe Ugalde. He leaves behind his loving wife Connie, son Michael, daughter-in-law Irene and grandchildren Payton and Landon. His loving mother Lois, brother Mike (Kathy) and his sister Julie (William). His mother and father-in-law Irene and Arcadao Ruvalcaba and brother-in-law Cesar. His nephews Levi, Lester, Graham, Joe, Elijah and niece Mackenzie. Also many, many more family and friends who are missing him dearly.
A memorial service will be held at St. Therese Church of the Little Flower in Reno, NV. on Wednesday, February, 20th at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery.
