Myron Scott Whalin passed away peacefully at his home in Yerington, Nevada on Friday, May 29, 2026.  He was 83.

Scott was born March 29, 1943 in Kittery, Maine the son of Myron and Mildred Whailin.  He also had one brother, Eliot, who is now deceased.

After high school he joined the Army and was deployed in Alaska.  In Alaska he married Anna Henry and they welcomed four children, W. Scott, now  deceased, Frances, JoAnn and Elizabeth, now deceased.  He later married Becky with whom he shared 51 years.

In Alaska he worked as a Fish & Wildlife Officer and later was employed as a Glazier and then an Airplane Mechanic/Fabricator.  Upon retirement he and Becky moved to Yerington, Nevada.

Scott had many hobbies and interests including Fly tying and Fly fishing, Trapping, crafting long bows and arrows, Photography, Muzzle loading and reloading shells for hunting big game, birds and sporting clays.  He also acquired his pilots license and A&P license allowing him to maintain and fly his super cub, something he truly enjoyed.

Scott will be remembered as a loving husband, father, supportive friend as well as sharing stories and telling jokes.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at his home at 23 Mand Chris Drive, Yerington at Noon Saturday, July 18, 2026.  Family and friends are invited to sign his online guest book at www.FRFH.net
