Naomi Jean Morgan went to heaven to be with the Lord on early Sunday morning, June 2, 2013 at South Lyon Medical Center in Yerington, Nevada after a long and very courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. Jean was 82.
Jean was born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on October 20, 1930 the daughter of John and Mildred (England) Hoffman.
Jean moved from Missouri to California in the early 1940's with her Mother and Father. She graduated from Hayward High School in Hayward, California in 1949 and also attended Las Positas College. In 1950 she married Leslie Morgan, then later making their home in Pleasanton, California where they owned and operated Santa Rita Shell Service Station. In 1974 she worked as an Attendance Accounting Specialist for the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District until her retirement in 1995.
Jean loved life and was always such a loving and caring person. She loved music, dancing, sewing, sailing and her orchid garden. She was very involved in the Pleasanton community with PTA, the American Lung Association, The American Cancer Association and was very involved with many years of dedication to the First Presbyterian Church in Pleasanton during the era of Reverend Robert S. Vogt.
In 1996 Jean and her daughter moved to Yerington to be with their family friends of over 50 years. In 1997, she owned and operated Daydreams Gifts and Books where she enjoyed so much being a part of the Yerington community. She made many new friends along the way.
Jean is survived by her daughter, Christie and her son-in-law, Graham Baldock of Yerington; also dear family friend, Paul Maresca whom she also called her 'Son' of Yerington. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Private family Memorial service will be held in Yerington.

Jean was loved by many and will be greatly missed. No one will ever forget that beautiful smile and her heart full of kindness. May she rest in the Lord's arms forever. As said by many, "She was an Angel from God" and now she has been called to heaven.
