Obituary

Norman Montelatici, 78, of Yerington, Nevada, passed away from Leukemia on June 23, 2014.

Norman was born in Yerington to Gene and Lola Montelatici. He attended Notre Dame High School in Los Angeles, CA, and then graduated from Yerington High School in 1953. Norman graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno, and was a member of the ATO Fraternity and Sundowners. Norman married Madeline MacKenzie in 1959 and had two daughters, Brenda and Malinda. He began his career as a meat cutter for the Lyon Market grocery store and then later owned the business.

Norman is survived by his wife Madeline; his daughters Brenda Ward (Mike) and Malinda Pope (Jeff); and Breanna and Colten Ward, his grandchildren, whom he was most proud and lovingly adored.
Norman was quiet and dependable. His generosity was perhaps one of his greatest traits. Norman truly assisted, cared and had much respect for his customers and friends.

Services will be held 11:00 am Monday, June 30, at the Holy Family Catholic Church, 103 N. West Street, Yerington, Nevada, Burial will be at the Valley view Cemetery. A reception will be held at the Catholic Center following the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, Northern California, 2425 Stockton Boulevard, Sacramento, CA 95817.
