Norman Elwood Pierson passed away at his home in Smith on Friday evening, May 29, 2020.  He was 77.

He was born October 9, 1942 in San Jose, California the son of Elwood and Dorothy (Thayer) Pierson.  He married Roxanna (Roxy) Shaw in Carson City on October 31, 1972.  He worked as an Appliance Service Tech and Welder for many years.  He has lived in Smith Vally for the past 21 years coming from Gilry, California.  He was a member of the Smith Valley Community United Methodist Church.

Norman 'Pops' enjoyed deer, elk and antelope hunting, fishing, Quad riding and riding the Harley Trike.

He is survived by his wife Roxanna Pierson; sons, Timothy and John; his daughter, Rozlynn Carol Pollack; his brother, Glenn Edward Pierson; his six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Norman's Memorial service will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, June 20, 2020 at the Smith Valley Community Center, 2783 State Route 208 in Wellington.  Family and friends are invited to sign his online guest book at www.FRFH.net, also sympathy cards can be sent directly to his wife from this site.
