At her favorite time of day, which was sunrise, Peggy went to be with her Lord on November 8, 2007. She was 79.

Peggy was born November 22, 1927 in Cincinnati, Ohi the daughter of Phil and Virginia (Newman) Bohannon. After graduating high school, she married Robert (Bob) Scheidt. They left Ohio for California in the late 1940's. Later she moved to Prescott, Arizona where she met and married Lee Getchell, the "Love of her life". In 1978 she moved to Smith Valley with her two children, Tom and Lisa, and later moved to Yerington.

Although Peggy was born in Ohio, she was a true 'westerner' at heart. She loved the rugged beauty of Arizona and Nevada, with Desert Creek being one of her favorite places. She was a Smith Valley resident and also lived in Yerington for 26 years.

She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her children and other family and friends. She is survived by her four children, Bob Scheidt of El Paso, Texas, Cathy (Carl) Weatherford of Fall River Mills, California (formerly of Smith Valley), Tom Getchell of Yerington and Lisa (Wade) Spanial of Reno, Nevada; her six grandchildren, J.J. (Joshua Jonathon) Scheidt, Carl (Tammy) Weatherford, Ginger (Anthony) Jacobs, Chas (Deanne) Weatherford, Sherrie Delorenzi and Abigail Spanial; five great grandchildren, Ashley Weatherford, Carl and Cherise Weatherford, Britanee and Alexus Hunter. She is also survived by her daughter 'in love' Nettie (Ron) Lawson and Aunt Tillie.

Graveside service will be held 1:00 pm Sunday, November 11th, at the Hillcrest Cemetery, with Pastor David Chism officiating.
