Obituary

Reldon "Red" E. Hatch, Sr. passed away on Sunday morning, October 3, 2010 at the South Lyon Medical Center, Long Term Care in Yerington, Nevada. He was 80.

Red was born in Richfield, Utah on November 2, 1929 the son of Lorin and Thelma (Smith) Hatch.

Red served in the US Army during the Korean War, and received several medals for honor and valor. He enjoyed Fishing, Hunting, playing Keno and Slots and he also enjoyed storytelling. Red has lived in Yerington for over 50 years. He was also a member of the LDS church.

Red is survived by his children; Reldon, Jr, Marlin, Doug, Curtis, Loren, Patti (Patricia) Mcknight, Nancy Killebrew, his brothers, Shelby Hatch, Sheryl Hatch and Hal Hatch and sisters, Evelyn and Donna Lee; his grandchildren, Lili Isaksen, Ginny Hatch, Teddi Hatch, Ivey McKnight, Zach Thompson, Caitlin Thompson, Tanya Killebrew and Suzy Killebrew; great grandchildren, Addison, Allison, Anya, Darah, Kiera and Ka'Shaun. He was preceded in death by his parents and son Terry.

Red's funeral service will be held 10:00am Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 600 North Oregon Street Yerington. A viewing will be held at the church begininning at 9:30 am. Burial with military honors will be 2:00 pm Tuesday at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley.
