Rena Hamilton passed away on Tuesday morning, March 26, 2013, at South Lyon Medical Center/Long Term Care in Yerington, Nevada. She was 74.

Rena was born in Yerington, Nevada on November 14, 1938 the daughter of Richard and Rosie (Davis) Brown. Rena was a life long resident of Yerington. She married John W. Hamilton October 11, 1970.

Rena was involved in tribal functions. She was an avid softball player, loved reading, enjoyed painting and crocheting, rock hunting and caring for her granddaughter and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Rose Brown and her Son, Alan Brown; her granddaughter, Stacy R. Salway; her great grandchildren, Benjamin Conti, Kainan Conti, Elli Feole and Lila Feole; her nieces, Marlene Smallwood and Jocelyn Aguilar; her nephews, Scott Brown, Craig Brown and Donald Brown; grand nieces, Khendra Brown and Aliana Aguilar and grand nephews, Devin Brown, Carlos Rubio, Terrence Brown and Donald Brown III. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Delphine Howell and Adeline Brown, her brothers, Raymond Burbank, Paul Brown and Donald Brown; and her husband, John.

A visitation will be held Friday, March 29, 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home, 25 Hwy 208 Yerington. Her funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, March 30 at the Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home. Honorary pallbearers will be Craig Brown, Devin Brown, Donald Brown, Scott Brown, Levi Feole and Gary McCloud.
