Obituary

Richard Eugene Babcock passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2007 at the Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno. He was 80.

Richard was born in Redmond, Oregon on October 18, 1926 the son of William and Della (Tuttle) Babcock, He was a World War II Navy veteran. Richard lived in the Yerington area for the past 15 years. He was an active member of the Faith Baptist Church. Richard spent seven years of fulltime RV traveling with is wife, Geraldine with the goal to see every capitol in the U.S., which they did. He was a member, President and trail boss of the Camellia City Broncos Jeep Club, a member and president of the Les Amies Dance Club.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine; his children, William W. Babcock, Donna L. Dillion and Linda C. Wirick; his sister, Cora Mae Durr; 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Sunday, September 9th at the Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home 25 Hwy 208 Yerington with Pastor Milton Carr officiating. Burial will be at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley, Nevada.
