Richard Bernard Campi passed away at his home in Yerington with his son by his side on Tuesday, November 18, 2014. He was 92.

Richard was born in San Francisco, California on July 6, 1922 the son of Silvio and Bernice (Diaz) Campi.

He was a World War II veteran having served in the U.S. Navy. He worked as a Mechanical Engineer in the Aerospace industry for over 27 years.

Richard has lived the past 22 years in Yerington coming from Santa Clara, California. He enjoyed flying and sailing, camping and painting. He was a member of ASME, California Professional Engineers.

He is survived by his sons, Richard, Michael, Vincent, Timothy, William, Joseph and John; his daughter, Patricia; his sister, Lorraine Fulton; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Powers, Destiny Campi, Nick Lampi, Hannah Campi, Emily Campi, Logan Campi, Cameron Campi and Desiree Mitchell.

A Rosary will be held 7:00 pm Friday, November 21st at Holy Family Catholic Church in Yerington. Also, a Rosary and viewing will be held 6:00 pm Tuesday, November 25th at the Chapel of Flowers, 900 S. 2nd Street, San Jose California. His funeral Mass will be 11:00 am Wednesday, November 26th at Saint Justins Catholic Church. Burial will 11:00 am Saturday, November 29th at the Valley View Cemetery in Yerington.
