Richard 'Dick' Michael Mainarick passed away at his home in Yerington, Nevada on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 with family by his side. He was 87.

Mr. Mainarick was born in Toronto, Canada on September 4, 1925 the son of Michael and Kathern (Negley) Mainarick.

He was a veteran of World War II having served in the United States Navy and the United States Army. He married Jacqueline Ruth Cockerham on May 10, 1947 in Akron, Ohio. She passed away on October 6, 2000.

He has lived in the Yerington area for the past 45 years having come from Milpitas, California. He was involved with Ham Radio (WA6BUD) for many years. For over 67 years he was a member of the Carpenters Local 405.

He is survived by his sons, Richard (Tana) Mainarick, Paul Mainarick; his daughters, Susan (Clarence) Shields, Sharon (Pat) Kelly and Debra Mainarick; his brother Carl; and his grandchildren, Joe, Mark, Adam, Lisa, Stacey, Anthony, Richelle, Patrick, Paul David and Nickele; his great grandchildren, Morgan, Ryan, Ashton, Chase and Gianna. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and brother, Kenneth Mainarick.

A Memorial service will be held 1:00 pm, Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at the Northern Nevada Memorial Cemetery, Fernley, Nevada. His cremains will be buried with his wife's at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley, Nevada.
