Richard B. "Butch" Moore died early Wednesday morning, August 22, 2007 at his home in Yerington. He was 70.

Butch was born in Ventura, California on May 14, 1937 the son of Thomas & Yuma Jane (Botts) Moore. He grew up and attended schools in Santa Paula, California and was an outstanding athlete and an all star player in football and baseball. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. Butch married Barbara Ann Suttle in Santa Paula on February 21, 1958. He and his wife moved from California to Yerington where they lived for the past two years.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Barbara of Yerington; his children, Don of Yerington, Doug of Santa Paula, California and Jennifer Derwin of Fillmore, California; his Mother Yuma June Moore of Idaho Falls, Idaho; his brother Ron of Bend, Oregon; his two sisters, Linda Dorman and Alta Tipton both of Idaho Falls, Idaho; his 5 grandchildren, Danille, Brian, Mellissa, Kevin and Jessica; 2 great grandchildren, Ainsley and Tiria. He was preceded in death by his Son, David and his Father, Tom.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at the Skillin - Carroll Mortuary 738 E. Santa Paula Street Santa Paula, California.
