Richard Grant Rogers (also known as Dick DelGiudice to friends in Elko) passed away at his home in Yerington on Friday morning, March 17, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 65 years young.
He was born in Williston, North Dakota on July 12, 1951, the son of Oliver Joel and Ollie Mae Rogers. Shortly after, the family relocated to Northern Nevada where he spent the remainder of his life. He graduated Elko High School in 1969.
Rich loved all kinds of outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, camping, boating, water skiing and everything else Northern Nevada had to offer. He had a passion for music and continued to play bass guitar in the band he formed with his high school buddies back in Elko when they were 13. He loved watching his daughters' and grandchildren's sporting events. He is known best as an entertaining story teller, jokster, and grill master.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Rogers; his daughters Angela Hicks and Kaylynn Rogers; step son Alex Rose; grandchildren Drew, Olivia and Siena Hicks; siblings Tommie (Janet) Rogers, Paula (Mike) Del Giudice-Wickersham, Paul (Tracy) Del Giudice, Beverly (Steve) Crain; also by numerous nieces and nephews.
Richard's Memorial service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the Vineyard Fellowship Church, 307 Broadway Avenue Yerington. Following the service we will meet for lunch and share more memories at the Dance Studio in Weed Heights, 14 Austin St., Yerington, NV 89447. We will provide meats and beverages and welcome your favorite potluck side dishes and salads to share.
