Robert L. Burgess, age 70 of Yerington passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at Renown Medical Center in Reno.

Bob was born September 17, 1948 the son of William and Ruth Burgess.  After he graduated from high school Bob joined the United States Marine Corps.  After his service he worked as a long haul truck driver.  In December 2011 he moved to Yerington from Wisconsin, it was at that time his daughter helped him move from Wisconsin remembering the winter conditions during that move.  He enjoyed bowling and as a hobby he built airplanes.  He was very proud of his service to his country and was a member of the VFW Post 8084.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Victoria White; his son, James Burgess (Cherry Brown); his grandchildren, Douglas Waddams (Jessica Sykes), Makayla Clark, Zachary Burgess, Sadee Privett and Tucker White; his great grandchildren, Victoria White, Kaidence Clark and Kulten Clark; his sister, Vera Bailey.

A Celebration of his Life will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, November 17 at the VFW Hall and a lunch will be served after the service.  Interment of his Urn with military honors will be 10:00 am Monday, November 19 at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley.
