Obituary

Robert P. Dillingham passed away peacefully Monday, January 15, 2007 at the South Lyon Medical Center, Yerington. He was 82.

Bob was born in Plainfield, New Jersey on August 2, 1924 the son of Charles K. and Margaret Dillingham. He was raised in New Jersey and had graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in Ceramic Engineering. He had served in the United States Army during World War II in England. Soon after his service he married his wife, Pat. and they moved to Colorado where he worked for Coors Brewing Company as a Ceramic Engineer for twenty years. Bob then moved his family to California where he worked for NASA in the Missle Development Department. He and his wife, Pat retired to build their dream house in Cayucos, California where they lived for several years. They eventually moved to Yerington.

Bob is survived by his three sons, Robert (Bud) Jr. of Rancho Cucamonga, California, Mark of Auburn, California and Greg of Big Pine Key, Florida; he also survived by his five grandchildren who he was very proud of, Jerry, Fritz, Dutch, Molly and Ben.; He is also survived by his loving companion, Maryann Austin of Yerington; he was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Pat.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Friday, January 19, 2007 at the Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home 25 Hwy 208 Yerington with military honors provided by American Legion Post #9. Inurnment will be at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley.

Memorial donations may be made in his name to the Yerington Volunteer Fire Department 118 S. Main Street Yerington 89447.
