Bob Madole, a lifelong resident of Northern Nevada, went to heaven with his Lord on Monday, April 23rd due to complications from his recent battle with brain cancer.
Bob grew up in Sparks, graduating from Sparks High School in 197. He attended community college and then enlisted in the Navy, serving as a steelworker in the Seabees, which included a tour in Vietnam.
Always a loving husband and father, Bob was talented and able to do nearly anything with his hands, learning to ecel at nearly every construction skill. After serving in the Navy, his construction careers included stints as a welder, mechanic, sign hanger, electrician, operating engineer and as the proud owner and operator of Mighty Mole Auger Service for 25 years.
Bob enjoyed the ability to step out the front door directly into the desert beauty of Nevada, where he could walk the dog, ride motorcycles and drive along the ridge of the mountain tops. He was a Christian and preached for the Church of Christ. Bob's hobbies included reading and writing and reloading, composing patriotic songs about God and country and writing cowboy poetry. A veteran performer at local cowboy poetry gatherings and Yerington's 4th of July celebration, Bob was always available to recite his favorites for family, friends and other eager audiences.
Bob is survived by his wife, Pam; sons, John Robert, Luke and Nathan; his mother, Betty; sister, Sue Newberry; brothers, John and Ray; grandson, Xander and several nieces and nephews in the Reno area.
Bob's memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, May 6, 2018 at the Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home, 25 Hwy 208 Yerington with graveside services with military honors to follow at the Valley View Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to sign his online guest book for the family at
