Obituary
Robert E. Samms passed away at his home in Yerington on Tuesday, June 19, 2007. He was 83.
He was born in Oakland, California on April 25, 1924. He served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. He was a great athlete who loved playing horseshoes.
He is survived by his son, Lawrence Sam; his grandchildren, Robert Lujano, Brandon Williams, Brandi Sam, Tashina Brown, Daniel Trujillo, Tavaduwatte Sam; Great grandchildren, Daniel Williams.
Graveside service will be held 1:00 pm Friday, June 22, 2007 at the Valley View Cemetery. Military honors are provided by Schurz All Indian VFW Post #6825.
