Rosetta Mae Moore passed away on Thursday afternoon, September 27, 2007 at her home in Yerington. She was 66.
She was born in Bakersfield, California the daughter of Vance and Matilda (Bishop) Thompson on May 1, 1941. She grew up primarily in California, Nevada, Utah and Idaho and has been a resident of Yerington for the past thirteen years. She loved to write poetry and is a published author. She also was the columnist for the 'Senior Scene' in the Mason Valley News. She enjoyed the outdoors and the many "critters" on the farm. Rosetta was fiercely patriotic and loved her country. Most of all she loved her family and friends and will be missed by all.
She is survived by her husband, Harold Moore of Yerington; a daughter, Desiree Ehly of Yerington; step-children, Gayle Cangiano of Carson City, Steve Moore of Yerington, Mark Moore of Yerington, and Ronald 'Dutch' Moore of Yerington; her grandchildren, Ernest Bull, Krystal Moore, Kayla Moore, Jessica Reed, Kimberly Moore, Cassandra Reed and Gaylen Moore; by her brothers and sisters, Danny Thompson of Elk Ridge, Utah, Eric Thompson of Miami, Utah, Carol Loraine Rochette of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Kathleen Bragg of Granite Bay, California and Shane Thompson of Bella Vista, Akansas; and by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 600 North Oregon Street Yerington. Burial will be at Valley View Cemetery.
