Obituary
Ruby F. Bickford passed away at her home in Yerington on Sunday morning, October 5, 2008. She was 88.
Ruby was born in Armona, California on January 9, 1920 the daughter of Henry and Bertha Luft. Her Mother passed away when she was 6 weeks old and was raised by her grandmother. She married Edgar A. Bickford in Carson City on November 3, 1938.
She lived in Yerington for the past 15 years. With her husband they had run several small companies, and worked many years for Turner Hardware in Stockton.
She is survived by her children, Mary Lou Meraz of Yerington, Patricia Ann Guardino of Stockton, CA, Beverly Jean Johnson of Salmon, Idaho and Eva Mae Higday of Sequim, WA; 14 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 16 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edgar; her 6 sisters and 1 brother.
A graveside memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Friday, October 24th, 2008 at the Cherokee Memorial Park Highway 99 at Harney Lane, Lodi, California.
Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home 25 Hwy 208 Yerington, NV 89447 (775) 463-2911.
