Rudy Acosta passed away at his home in Smith on Thursday, December 12, 2019.  He was 74.

Rudy was born in Los Angeles, California on June 5, 1945 the son of
John and Carmen and brother of John and Arthur Acosta.  Rudy was a
veteran having served in the United States Marine Corps.  He worked as
a Los Angeles Police Officer followed by many years as a Special
Investigator for the state of California.  Rudy was proud to be a
public servant and loyal supporter of the Church as a leader in the
Knight of Columbus.  Rudy is survived by his son Edward, Jacqueline,
Monica; and his three grandsons and four granddaughters.

Rudy's service will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Holy Family
Catholic Church, with a Rosary recited at 11:00 am followed by the
Funeral Mass at 11:30 am.  A reception will follow the funeral Mass at
the Catholic Center and burial with military honors will be in Hillcrest Cemetery at 2:30
pm.  Rudy will be laid to rest with his wife Carole.
