Ruth Elaine Conway Levier passed away on Saturday morning, August 16, 2008 at the Carson Tahoe Hospital, Carson City. She was 55.
She was born in Yerington on august 28, 1952 the daughter of Ernest and Ruby (McCloud) Conway. She attended Yerington schools and graduated in June 1972. Upon graduation she attended Haskell Indian Junior College in Lawrence, Kansas. She met and married Arthur Marcellus Levier in Anson, Texas on March 26, 1975. Later they moved to Mayetta, Kansas to raise their family of four children in Arthur's home town. After Arthur passed away she and the children moved back to Yerington. She then met and married Larry Richard Andrews, they shared twenty-six wonderful years together.
She was a loving Mother, daughter, sister and devoted companion. Ruth was a traditional artist of the native American art of beadwork. she loved reading and enjoyed watching old westerns. She was a truly devoted grandmother, always appreciating and chershing her time spent with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, her three children, Jay Levier of Tohatchi, New Mexico and Carmen Sims and Cherise Levier both of Yerington; three sisters, Christine Makahili of Oxnard, CA, Ernestine Keeley and Lola Zamarippa both of Yerington; a brother, Timothy Conway of Yerington; her eight grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Arthur, a son, Clinton, sisters, Phyllis Conway, Angelina Molina, brothers, Edward Conway, Eugene Conway and Walter Conway.
A viewing will be held 6-8 pm at the Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home 25 Hwy 208 Yerington on Thursday, August 21st. The funeral service will be held 10:00 am Friday at the Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home.
Interment will be at the Valley View Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Nathan Conway, Nicholas Conway, Rick Saldana, Silvano Sanchez and Fred Johnson. A reception will be held at the Tribal Gym following the service.
