Sheila Denice Perkins passed away at her home in Yerington, Nevada on Saturday, January 8, 2011. She was 46.

Sheila was born in Oakland, California on October 15, 1964 the daughter of Albert and Carol (Neece) Bansback.

Sheila was raised in Brentwood, California with her Mother and adoptive Father, Sterrett Theodore Perkins.

Sheila has lived in Yerington since 2004. She was a member of the Mason Valley Moose Lodge, #2428, the South Lyon Medical Center Auxilliary and the Mason Valley Quilters. She enjoyed volunteer work, gardening, cooking, horseback riding, Motorcycle riding, tarot cards, reading, puzzles, swimming, water and snow skiing.

Sheila is survived by her son, Derek Steven Perkins of Discovery Bay, California; her sisters, Terri Louise Esry of Medford, Oregon and Lisa Marie Perkins of Beaverton, Oregon; her companion, James Russell Converse; and her Mother, Carol Louise Perkins of Yerington, Nevada. She was preceded in death by her Father, Albert Bansback and adoptive Father, Sterrett Theodore Perkins and a son, Tristan Eugene Gangwer.

Sheila's Celebration of Life service will be held 6:00 pm Friday, January 14, 2011 at the Mason Valley Moose Lodge 644 South Main Street Yerington.
